SUBJECT: Show Me Volleyball Academy to merge with High Performance
Show Me Volleyball Academy (“SMVA”) and High Performance (“HP”) announced today that they have entered into an agreement for SMVA to merge with HP. An agreement was reached whereby SMVA will now be HP/SMVA South, an extension of the HP program in South County, specifically at the newly remodeled Center STL.
The decision to accept this merger did not come easily or quickly. After much consideration, many discussions, and countless prayers, we truly believe this is the best opportunity for our coaches, players, and the Gateway Region. This move will allow us to train and be a part of an organization whose leader has the same vision and ideas for St. Louis volleyball as we have. This merger provides everyone with more resources and gives Ben and I more time to focus our energies and efforts on player and coach development. It also allows us to build upon what we have been growing within a larger highly organized entity and will offer more options and opportunities for everyone involved. These opportunities include, but are not limited to, the addition of a beach/sand program as well as group training with additional experienced coaches from HP.
Words cannot express the feelings I have in my heart, but I will try. I would like to thank each and every one of you for helping make SMVA what it is today. We would not have been afforded this opportunity without you. Every camp, clinic, or practice you attended; every time you wore the SMVA logo; every time you posted about SMVA on social media, you helped bring us to where we are today. In just six short years, SMVA has accomplished a lot; growing from one team to fifteen, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we have built. SMVA has been my “family” since the beginning, and I would like to believe that it was the same for you. With family comes trust, and I want to thank you for putting that trust into me, Ben, and the rest of our coaches. With that being said, I hope that you will continue to trust in this decision and will follow us to our new home at HP.
While I am sad to close the book on this chapter of SMVA, we are excited at what the future holds for us as a part of HP. We know you won’t regret joining us in this new adventure.
We will continue to update our social media pages with open clinics and tryouts for the year, but we encourage everyone to begin following HP’s social media for the most up to date information. You should also be checking www.hpstl.org for upcoming events and information for the upcoming season as there will be more exciting news coming soon.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
